"AB By AB" is my award-winning documentary film, created as my final dissertation piece for my degree in film practice at Newcastle University.
 

It explores family dynamics, skill-sharing, and the social aspect of work. The film earned me a first-class degree with the highest average mark in my year and the Rita Hayward Award for Best Film Dissertation. It was featured in multiple festivals in 2020 and won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Non-Fiction Film in the North East and the Borders region.

“AB By AB” first premiered in the online film showcase ‘A World Turn’d Upside Down’ in 2020, a collaboration betweeen Newcastle University and The Star & Shadow Cinema, organised by myself, Nuala Fowler, Sam Bond, Duncan Flint and Carl Smith-Valdez.
