In Collaboration with Francesca Lanz
"Refugee" is an animated short film created in collaboration with researcher Francesca Lanz.
The film focuses on the San Lazzaro psychiatric hospital in northern Italy, now the Museum of the History of Psychiatry of Reggio Emilia. The film uses archive footage, historical documents, and paper & ink animation to tell the asylum's story. Supported by Newcastle University and the International Coalition for Sites of Conscience, the project was featured for World Refugee Day 2020.
